Florida's 89.1 WUFT-FM Morning Edition host, Glenn Richards, welcomes Florida-grown acoustic folk trio, The Currys to the WUFT Performance Studio for a live set and conversation along with Dr. Elizabeth DeVos, Director of UF Global Health Education Program for the UF College of Medicine.

Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 is the 2nd Annual UF Global Health Education Mission Trips Fundraiser with The Currys, Gainesville singer-songwriter Matthew Fowler, and hip-hop artist, Klutch at Heartwood Soundstage in Gainesville (619 S. Main St.). First and second year UF medical students are raising money to provide Medical Supplies, Medication, a Free Clinic, Health Screenings, and Health Education to under-served communities during their spring break trips to Ecuador, Nicaragua, Haiti, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The UF Global Health Education program enables medical students the opportunity for unique cultural and comparative medicine experiences while serving underdeveloped and under-served communities in need of basic health care.

The main event is from 8:00 to 10:00 PM, preceded by a special V.I.P. acoustic performance by The Currys with a Meet & Greet/Q&A Session from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Special thanks to Dana Hill for his production expertise! Photos by: Christine M. DeBastiani, Program Coordinator for the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, UF College of Medicine.
