Video: PK Yonge inspires younger students with ‘Final Wave Walk’

By

Jaccara Walker is the first of her family to go to college.

But with younger sisters, she hopes not to be the last.

“I worked hard to get to college,” Walker said. “For my sisters, and to set a good example for them and tell them that they can do it.”

On Tuesday, Walker was part of P.K. Yonge’s “Final Wave Walk”, a last stroll for about 110 graduating seniors through their school. They walked down hallways and classrooms amidst cheers from younger students, high-fiving them along the way.

Walker and other students hope that the school’s Wave Walk inspires the younger generation to graduate.
