William Owens and his team of FEMA Mitigation Specialists were in Clay County Thursday, helping residents cleanup and rebuild the damage left by Tropical Storm Debby. Owens has been on the road for weeks now, visiting cities and helping residents. He says the main goal is to inform.

Owens says despite the amount of people they have been able to help so far, it's a tough road ahead - both physically and emotionally.

Owens says victims have until September 4th to file for federal disaster assistance. The next city FEMA mitigation specialists will be visiting is Kingsley Lake.
