Florida execution gets green light after letters written from behind bars

David Gore has been on Florida's death row for 29 years. During that time, he began correspondance with a pen pal in Las Vegas and detailed all his murders through a series of letters. Today, he will become the 73rd prisoner to be executed.  Many say the letters he wrote helped push his execution. Since his arrest nearly 30 years ago, Gore has pleaded guilty to raping and killing four teenage girls and two women but today is only condemned for the murder of 17-year old Lynn Elliot in 1983. Reporter-turned-author Pete Earley has written 13 books.  It's in his latest book, The Serial Killer Whisperer, where he published Gore's chilling letters. Florida's 89.1, WUFT-FM's Sanika Dange spoke to Earley to discuss the emotional journey he went through when he decided to release those infamous letters to the public.
