Ten years ago, Illinois Senator Richard Durbin introduced the Dream Act on behalf of children brought to the United States by their parents. The Dream Act would give undocumented students brought into the U.S., under the age of 16, a chance for “conditional” citizenship and an opportunity to earn a higher education. Congress is taking up the issue this week. Empriss Campbell has the story of one University of Florida student who is anxiously awaiting the decision in Washington.
