Manatees have freedom to come and go from Homosassa State Park

The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is hosting a gate-opening event on Friday (12/3/2010). The park will open an underwater gate and will allow park manatees to mingle with wild manatees. This will be the first time the gate has been opened in more than twenty years. The event is open to the public with regular park admission. Empriss Campbell reports.
