Starke Elementary School will reopen March 18, according to a Bradford County School District press release.
The school closed in August after a building health report determined there was a mold problem. Students resumed classes at alternate locations Sept. 3.
Architects determined the causes of the mold growth, which included failed or compromised mechanical equipment, automated controls and insufficient air ventilation, according to a letter addressed to superintendent Chad Farnsworth.
The project is expected to cost anywhere from $1.5 million to $2 million, according to the press release. Part of that will be funded through loans.
Teachers will return to the school following the county's spring break on March 17th. Students will return the following day.
