A hoax 911 call caused a lockdown at Columbia High School in Lake City this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Columbia County Sheriff's Office said there were no injuries reported.
According to a press release, the call came from an unknown person, who indicated that another student brought a weapon into the school.
Columbia High School and school resource deputies responded by restricting access to the school.
Though the Columbia County Sheriff's Office has identified the student, the name of the student has not been released.
Dorothy Spradley of the Columbia County School Board said classes resumed as normal around 2 p.m., though parents were also able to pick their children up from the school.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office expects an arrest in this case.
