Traffic monitoring cameras and message signs to be installed in Marion County

Traffic monitoring cameras and dynamic message signs are being installed along some major streets in Ocala.  The message signs will give drivers who have to get off the interstate for unusual traffic conditions information about where to go, how long the travel time is and where you can re-enter I-75. The City of Ocala Spokesman Sonny Allen says the cameras will help traffic technicians "time" traffic lights.

Allen adds that these cameras do not record. State Road  200, State Road 40, U-S 27, North West 27th Avenue and South West 60th Avenue will have cameras installed by the end of May.
