Despite Anthony verdict, law professor says court system still works

This coming Sunday, Casey Anthony will be released from jail with credit for time served and good behavior. Last week jurors found Anthony not guilty on the charge of murdering her 2-year old daughter, Caylee. The high-profile case has attracted national attention from both the media and the public. The verdict has stirred a number of protests. In reaction to the not guilty verdict, at least one state is proposing Caylee’s Law, which would make failing to report a missing child within 24 hours a felony. University of Florida Law Professor Bob Dekle has been no stranger to high-profile murder trials, after most notably serving as the prosecutor in the infamous Ted Bundy trial. Dekle talked with WUFT-FM’s Marc Whiteman about the current rage being exhibited toward the court system in the Anthony case.
