Defense in Caylee Anthony trial drops bombshell in opening statement in Orlando

Defense attorney Jose Baez says Casey Anthony did not murder her daughter Caylee, but that she accidentally died in a swimming pool on June 16th, 2008 and the situation snowballed into a coverup. Baez made those claims in the opening statements today during the trial in Orlando. Prosecutors said in their opening statement that two-year old Caylee died from duct tape that had been placed over her mouth and nose. The 25-year-old Anthony is charged with first-degree murder. If convicted, she could be sentenced to death.
