Critics of a controversial gun bill say allowing the open display of firearms in Florida will scare away tourists and hurt the state’s reputation.
Currently, the bill is on the third reading calendar of the Florida House. If the bill becomes law, anyone with a concealed carry license would be able to publicly open carry a firearm, unless otherwise prohibited.
But Governor Rick Scott says it’s not an issue with the corporate leaders he’s trying to recruit to the Sunshine state.
Scott won’t say if he will sign the open carry bill.
