An advocate for women who needed help in North Central Florida for the past 25 years is being honored at Santa Fe College as she retires as coordinator of the Displaced Homemaker program. Nancy Griffin started in 1986, and after helping more than 35-hundred women rebuild their lives after divorce or the death of a spouse, her friends and co-workers gave her a party this afternoon to show appreciation for the work the displaced homemaker program has done. She told WUFT-FM’s news director Tom Krynski that the need is still there for women in the community.
