Three new coronavirus deaths were reported today in Alachua County, increasing the county’s total COVID-19 fatalities to five, according to the Florida Department of Health.
This is the largest number of reported deaths that Alachua County has seen in a single day.
Alachua County Department of Health Director Paul Myers said the three new fatalities are linked to long-term care facilities. A previously reported death was also tied to a long-term care facility.
