Following Hurricane Hermine, four Florida counties are still without power, according to a news release from Gov. Rick Scott’s office. The counties are:
- Leon County: 11 percent, or 16,161 homes
- Wakulla County: 18 percent, or 1,540 homes
- Taylor County: 2 percent, or 133 homes
- Gadsen County: 2 percent, or 363 homes
There are also 22 state facilities still without power, the release said.
Most schools in counties affected by Hurricane Hermine reopened Tuesday. However, schools in Gilchrist, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties, including Florida State University and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University are expected to open Wednesday.
Food Safety Rapid Response Teams are still assessing the food and water needs of 29 counties, according to the release. Bottled water has also been shipped to Leon, Gadsden, Dixie, Pasco and Wakulla counties.
