While most people spend their time trying to avoid pesky, biting mosquitos, it’s Dan Kline’s job to go out and find them. Kline is a research entomologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Gainesville. In recent weeks he’s been out in Dixie and Levy Counties observing a variety of biting mosquitos and gnats to find out just what these insects feed on before they go after blood. WUFT-FM’s Donna Green-Townsend talked with Kline about the focus of his research.
