Meadowbrook Elementary School

Muslim Youth Gainesville hosted Gainesville's first Muslim faith-based summer camp to give Muslim youth a chance to connect and learn more about Islam.

Southwest Gainesville will get a new elementary school, and every school in the county will receive money for improvements from the half-cent sales tax Alachua County voters approved in November.

Records show Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) began installing filters in August, having purchased 1,300 filters for its 36 public schools.

Many of Alachua County's elementary school students are attending class in portables due to overcrowding and rapid growth in the western part of the county.
