The US Senate is pushing a clean energy bill this week called the “American Power Act”. The new bill is designed to help Americans develop clean energy resources, reduce the dependence on foreign oil, and create new jobs in the energy sector among other incentives. John Ferrari is President and CEO of a Florida business called Dwellgreen, a home performance evaluation company based in Sarasota. Ferrari says his own experience as a homeowner encouraged him to think more green friendly. Farrari told WUFT’s Kaitlyn Ash by updating homes to become more energy efficient, it’s not only smart for the pocketbook but also the planet.
