Highlighting 31 UF CJC Alumni During Hispanic Heritage Month

Every year in the U.S., 31 days are set aside to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. It starts mid-month, on Sept. 15, which is the anniversary of the independence of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua; Mexico’s independence day is on Sept. 16 and Chile’s is on Sept. 18. Hispanic Heritage Month ends on Oct. 15. During this month of celebration, the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications is highlighting an alumnus of Hispanic descent each day.
