On Tuesday hundreds gathered for a dedication ceremony for the University of Florida’s Frank Stronach Plant Science Center near Citra.  The facility is home to the Institute of Food and Agricultural Science’s research operations for everything from fruit and vegetables to crop management, entomology and nematology.  But as Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Donna Green-Townsend reports, the center is also tied to a unique partnership with the Marion County Sheriff’s office and county jail operations.
