Military moms, spouses and grandmothers will be honored tomorrow with a Mother’s Day Social provided by Operation-Homefront-Florida in Jacksonville. The non-profit organization will show appreciation to these women for their service and sacrifice by showering them with with gifts and treats. Operation Homefront-Florida Director Christy Campbell says the event hopes to put the spotlight on the true backbone of many military families.
“They play such an important part of keeping our military strong by being there and sometimes even the mother is the one who is deployed,” she said.
In cooperation with the National Guard Family Programs, this event will be attended by mothers from all branches of service in the Jacksonville area.
