After moving to its new location next to Satchel’s Pizza, The Repurpose Project has more than quadrupled in size and substance. The owners plan to expand with the additional space, adding a garden, play area for kids and an event area.

Though “Satch” is affectionately known around Gainesville for his pizza restaurant, his true passion lies in his art.
Satchel Raye, owner of Satchel’s Pizza in Gainesville, came in third place in the first annual SEC Pizza Championship. Every competitor was offered a position on the U.S. Pizza Team, which would then compete in the World Pizza Championship, but Raye declined.

“We’ll premiere it a festival hopefully in early 2014,” Bowers said of the new movie. “Yeah, we’ll definitely have a screening in Gainesville.”
