Gainesville Introduces Mobile App For Parking Payments

By

The city of Gainesville has installed a new parking-payment system that will allow drivers to pay via the mobile app Passport Parking instead of just with change.

The system is available for meters in midtown, the Innovation District and downtown. The app has already been in use for certain lots on the University of Florida’s campus.

Payment with the app costs an extra 35 cents per transaction.
