2 Killed, 2 Injured In Union County Crash

LAKE BUTLER — Two people are dead and two others are in the hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Union County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 41-year-old Donna Crews and 10-year-old Kaelyn Crews died when a pickup truck struck their car head-on as they traveled on State Road 100 near Lake Butler on Monday night. Another car also struck the vehicle Donna Crews was driving.

The woman and child lived in nearby Keystone Heights.

According to an incident report, 19-year-old Christopher Driggers was driving the truck. He was taken to a Gainesville hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the third vehicle, 42-year-old Viola Butts, also sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
