Gatornationals Delayed Due To Rain

By

The first day of Gatornationals got off to a slippery start Thursday due to poor weather, delaying the races until conditions cleared.

More rain is expected through the weekend, which may lead to more delays.

“We obviously don’t like the rain, because we just have to sit and wait it out,” said Rich Price, a race car driver. “We’ll wait if we have to.”

Drivers are not the only ones sticking it out. For some fans, Gatornationals is an annual tradition.

Gene Dietz has been coming to the races for 25 years.

“I’ll just sit and wait,” he said. “A lot of times they get racing again.”
