Florida counties to pick up Medicaid costs

Governor Rick Scott has signed a bill that will require county governments to pay more than $300 million in unpaid Medicaid bills. In the case of Marion County, that means paying $3.6 million.  Chris Peralta spoke with Marion County Commissioner Stan McClain about the bill’s potential impact on Marion County, and how he’d hoped the bill would be vetoed.
