Mid-Century Home Nominated To Preserve Architectural History

Mid-century home in Gainesville was nominated to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Gainesville Modern hopes to preserve the great collection of mid-century architecture, like the Cassisi home resting in North Florida.

Gainesville Family First To Win The Michelle Park Family Recreation Scholarship

The Garrity family is the first family to receive the Michelle Park Family Recreation Scholarship from the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department. The scholarship is valued at $1,500 and was created for families to engage in recreational and cultural activities for free.

Local Pet Store Puts Controversial Hemp-Based Medicine Back On Shelves

Canna Companion is back on the shelves of the local Earth Pets store after the owner encountered difficulties with the cannabis-based arthritis treatment. The primary ingredient in the capsules is hemp, which made local law enforcement question the legality of the pills.
