A boating accident occurred on Black Creek about a quarter of a mile northeast of the Mariner’s Road boat ramp in Green Cove Springs around 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The four people on board sustained injuries after the boat traveled around a bend in the creek and hit a tree branch.

Two were transported by ambulance to Orange Park Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, according to Karen Parker, public information coordinator for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The other two passengers only had minor injuries and were not hospitalized.

As of now, FWC and Clay County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the incident.
