The City of Gainesville is holding a kick-off event tonight at 6 p.m. for the restoration of Gainesville’s oldest train depot. The Depot Building, which was constructed more than a century ago has been nothing more than a historical location for much of the past 80 years. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Jessica Becerra reports, now the restored building will house a variety of economic and cultural venues.
