The phone doesn’t’ seem to stop ringing in the office of George Burgess at the University of Florida. It’s something the Director of the Florida Program For Shark Research says he’s gotten used to. Several shark incidents on the country’s Atlantic coast prompted the most recent frenzy of calls. Burgess just returned from a national shark conference and says the movement of sharks has everyone’s attention, especially in light of the BP oil spill in the gulf. He talked with WUFT’s Donna Green-Townsend.
