High profile news anchor says he’s gay

A high profile television news anchor and correspondent, CNN’s Anderson Cooper confirmed publicly he is gay, telling an interviewer for a blog about his sexual orientation. Florida’s 89.1 WUFT-FM’s Nickelle Smith reports on the reaction from a Gainesville leader in the gay community, as well as from the head of national journalists group.
