The Ocala Jockey Club hosted its second annual three-day equestrian triathlon Nov. 16-19 in Reddick, Fla. The event featured competitors from the United States, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Barbados, Ecuador and El Salvador. Marion County Commissioners voted on Tuesday to put a 1 percent sales tax referendum on the March 2016 ballot. With many household incomes remaining stagnant, some Marion County residents are opposed to the idea of a tax increase.
