School grades are out, and the Alachua County Public School District got some bad news. The district grade just dropped to a “B”. The grading system is based off of the past year’s FCAT scores. Though state legislators earlier this year passed a law that requires elementary schools to set aside 20 minutes each day for "free-play recess," that mandate doesn't say where recess must take place.
