Search continues for the next UF president

It’s been more than a couple months since University of Florida President Bernie Machen announced his resignation date. Since then, an effort has been initiated to find his replacement. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Nickelle Smith reports this effort has led to UF officials calling on the public for insight into who should become the school’s new leader.

Students are now using IDs to board Alachua County school buses. The new system will help keep track of students’ whereabouts as they get on and off buses.


The Florida Standards Assessments website, which the launched in June 2014, provides information about Florida's newest assessment tools for grades K-12. The Department of Education is currently collecting public input about test item specifications -- documents that define the content and format by grade-level and subject for test writers and reviewers.
