Search continues for the next UF president
It’s been more than a couple months since University of Florida President Bernie Machen announced his resignation date. Since then, an effort has been initiated to find his replacement. Florida’s 89.1, WUFT-FM’s Nickelle Smith reports this effort has led to UF officials calling on the public for insight into who should become the school’s new leader.

This year’s sales tax holiday, which begins on Friday, has been extended to 10-days. Eligible items include clothing priced under $100, school supplies $15 or less per item and personal computers on the first $750 of sale prices.
