Skeletal remains identified

Skeletal remains found in a wooded area near West Newberry Road last week have been identified.  Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Todd Kelly says 52-year-old Juliann Spates went missing more than one year ago, although her family did not report her missing right away.

He says investigators do not currently suspect foul play, but a cause of death has yet to be determined.
