Search continues for missing Ocala man

Ocala police are asking the public for help locating a man missing since Christmas Day. OPD Sergeant Chas Maier says Russell Lynn Hoagland has indicated he may harm himself.

Currently, he says police have little information about where Hoagland is. Anyone with information can contact Ocala Police or Crime Stoppers. Hoagland is a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has a number of distinct tattoos including “Gidget” on the left side of his neck and “Allen” on the right side.

Two new ambulances specializing in transporting obese patients were added to Alachua County Fire Rescue's fleet of vehicles. The ambulances feature wider stretchers and hydraulic lifts.
