Gilad Shalit reunited with family in Israel; Palestinian prisoners freed
The Israeli soldier Sergeant Gilad Schalit has been freed after more than five years in captivity in Palestine. His freedom came in the form of a swap for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners, some who were serving life sentences after deadly attacks on Israel.
