The musical Hairspray won eight Tony Awards and grossed over $200-million in the film adaptation starring John Travolta. The Performing Arts Center students at P.K. Yonge in Gainesville hope to continue the success of the show this weekend. WUFT-FM’s Lauren Buchwald talked with the Performing Arts Director Sherwin Macintosh about the lively musical.
