Gainesville "Dark Knight" fans unaffected but GPD increases security near theatre

Despite the tragic shooting in Auroa Colorado, Gainesville theatre experienced sold out show for the "Dark Knight Rises."  As Florida 89.1, WUFT-FM's Corey Brooks reports, people attending the movie today are not linking the tragic shooting with the newest Batman movie.

Meanwhile, the Gainesville Police Department is ramping up security in light of the shooting in Aurora, Colorado.  GPD spokesman Ben Tobias says officers are always prepared to respond to incidents like this.

Tobias says tragedies like this can happen at any venue but it's normal protocol for officers to be on duty anywhere attracting a large turnout of people.

Tobias says they're glad to see the shooting suspect has been aprehended.
