Paterno, Spanier out at Penn State

The Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees has fired football coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier.  The decision made last night comes after Paterno announced he would retire at the end of the year, amid a scandal involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.  In 2002, a PSU graduate student reported witnessing an incident of sexual abuse by Sandusky on a child.  The incident was not reported to law enforcement.  Upon hearing the announcement, students supporting Paterno began rioting across the campus.
