Less pain at the pump this July 4th

Fuel prices have continued to decrease in Florida, impacting holiday travel. Due to this decrease, more people are traveling by car, especially during the Independence Day holiday. Florida AAA spokesperson  Jessica Brady says a predicted 1.8 million Florida residents are going to be traveling by car this holiday week. She says about 42.3 million Americans are projected to be traveling, which is the same number of Americans who traveled in 2007. Airfares, however, have basically remained the same since last year although there is an expected 10 percent increase in the amount of Floridians traveling by planes to their vacation destinations, including buses and trains. Brady adds fuel prices might decrease a little throughout the week, however depending on how certain issues in Europe unfold, prices may begin to stabilize.
