Recent pool drownings and near drownings bring attention to importance of CPR

Experts are warning parents to keep a close eye on their children at the pool this summer. This week alone one child drowned in a pool in Marion County, while another child almost drowned in Citrus County but was given CPR and survived. North Central Florida Safety Council Safety Instructor, Steven Johnson, says parents should never leave their child unattended at the pool. He adds every second counts when giving CPR.
