Honoring twenty five years of advocacy

An advocate for displaced women is being honored at Santa Fe College as she retires after 25-years of service as the coordinator of the Displaced Homemaker program. Nancy Griffin says there is still a need to help women.

“There was much more I think counseling involved in the beginning of the program and now it has become so job driven because of our funding and because of how desperate people are right now. “

Griffin began helping women in north central Florida in 1986 and has helped more than 35-hundred women rebuild their lives after the death of a spouse or divorce
