Politics and the oil spill one year after the BP gusher is capped

Today is the one-year anniversary of the day the BP oil gusher was finally capped. The disaster’s impact on Florida was felt not only on the state’s beaches, but on politics. At first, the spill was a political gift for then Governor Charlie Crist. But as FPR’s Susan Giles Wantuck reports, as the oil spill dragged on, it dragged down his political career.
