Rachel Carson's newest biographer, William Souder, will visit UF at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to speak about his book and the modern environmental movement.
"On A Farther Shore" was published in 2012 on the 50th anniversary of Carson's landmark book, "Silent Spring." The paperback version came out in September.
Souder was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his biography of John James Audubon.
He spoke with WUFT News about his book on Carson, the craft of biography, and his next project: a biography of John Steinbeck.
