Author remembers 1928 hurricane that killed thousands around Lake Okeechobee

Hurricanes Karla, Igor and Julia show how September is a peak month in the Florida hurricane season. September 16th marked the anniversary of the 1928 hurricane which swept through Florida taking many lives and causing horrific damage. 89.1 WUFT-FM’s Patrick Colden spoke with Robert Mykle, author of “Killer Cane,” a book based on research and interviews with people who surivived the deadly storm 82 years ago.
