Alachua county high schools make the grade

School grades released by the state show Alachua County High Schools performing very well. Alachua County Public Schools Spokeswoman Jackie Johnson says the school district is happy with the across-the-board improvement.

Among the 6 high-performing schools, Buchholz, Newberry and the Professional Academies Magnet at Loften High School earned “A” grades, and Eastside, Gainesville and Santa Fe High earned “B”s.  78% of the state's high schools were rated high performing.
