The first Florida area to be hit by Hurricane Irma, the Florida Keys, were not spared when she entered as a Category 4 storm with 130 mph winds on Sunday, Sept. 10. It weakened to a Category 2 by the time it hit Miami.

Next on Irma's path of destruction were places such as Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Estero, before making its second landfall on Marco Island. With maximum sustained winds of 105 mph, serious damage ensued.

Soon after, Hurricane Irma hit places in Central Florida like Osceola, Polk and Brevard County as a Category 1 storm. They were left flooded and with debris-filled streets.
