A car fire halted rush hour traffic in Ocala and left the vehicle scorched Wednesday.
The driver of the 1995 Buick Park Avenue told officials she pulled into a parking lot when other motorists told her the car was on fire, according to an Ocala Fire Rescuepress release.
The fire occurred at 4:53 p.m. at North Pine Avenue and 10th Street, according to the release.
Firefighters responded within two minutes of receiving the 911 call to find a thick column of dark smoke and flames coming from the engine, according to the press release. They quickly contained and extinguished the flames.
The two adults and four children in the car were not injured.
