Alligator attack puts Gainesville man in the hospital

An alligator attack has put a Gainesville man in Shands Hospital at the University of Florida this morning after he was attacked yesterday afternoon.The victim was dragged out of the water by firefighters. Dictrict Chief of Gainesville Fire Rescue Jeff Lane says the victim had punctures to the back and left the scene in a trauma alert. The victim is in stable condition.
